Supply of alternative hESC lines
For all applications to obtain cell lines from the UKSCB,
requestors are required to state the name of their preferred
cell lines on their application to the Steering Committee. In
some circumstances not all the applicant's preferred stem cell
lines will be available at the time of request. In such
cases the UKSCB can propose suitable, alternative stem cell
lines. In this situation, the applicant will not be required
to submit a new application to the Steering Committee for the
alternative cell line/s. As for other standard applications,
the UKSCB will require that the appropriate agreements are
signed for the alternate lines by the legal representative's
for both owner and requestor before cells can be released. The
supply of alternate cell line(s) will be reported to the
Steering Committee by the UK Stem Cell Bank.
